Hey Simon,I actually got the install to work... although your solution is simplier since mine requires me to recompile mysql again. Here is what I added to the mysql./configure --with-named-z-libs=/usr/lib/libz.a ...OTHER_OPTIONS That did it for me. When I make my next system, I'll have to try your -lz flag. Thanks,~jerry
